About the Artist

KennyO is deeply committed to the classic tradition of landscape painting. He received a formal fine arts education at the University of Idaho School of Art and Architecture, and has since been committed to expanding and refining his technique through intensive individual and small group studies with master painters. His work embodies the influence of masters Thomas Moran, John Carlson, and Robert Lougheed and of a diverse spectrum of contemporary landscape artists, among them William Hook, Clyde Aspevig, and Wilson Hurley. KennyO’s work is inspired by the grandeur of his home state, Idaho. More often than not he is on the road, seeking the most pristine natural locations in which to set up his easel and paint en plein aire. His paintings evoke a lifelong spiritual connection to nature. The interaction between light, color, and pigment gives form to the joy Kenny feels working directly in nature.
